Kantilal Mehta is President of IVF (International Vaish Foundation) Mumbai, Chairman of Silver Emporium Private Limited, Past Chairman of World Silver Council and Past Director India Bullion and Jewellery Association. He is actively involved in many social upliftment programs for village and Jain community through his Shakun Devi Multanmal Charitable Trust. He runs an eye bank in name of trust in Mumbai. In 1981, he moved to Mumbai after completing his formal education from Rajasthan and started his venture into silver business. With his passion and dedication, his company, Silver Emporium, is largest manufacturer of silver articles in India with presence in over 5 states. Won several awards for his contribution to the industry and recognition from industry leaders. His company was featured in coffee table book released by Nav Bharat Publication among top 100 growing companies in Maharashtra. In 2013, manufacturerd world's first bike in silver. His company got featured in Rolls-Royce Coffee Table book which was published in 2013 for completion of 110 years of Rolls-Royce.
Rahul, is spearheading Silver Emporium's pan India expansion. He relishes the challenge of scaling-up while maintaining a firm grip over the quality and consistency. He did executive program from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B). He joined his family business at the age of 21 and has already spent nearly 13 years in the business. He harbours the dream of retiring early but not before he achieves his life's ambition, which is to “make Silver Emporium world's largest silver company specialized in handcrafted silverware and transform the unorganized Indian silver industry. Under his leadership, Silver Emporium Group has won several awards for best silverware manufacturer of the year. It became the only silverware company to be featured in Rolls-Royce Coffee Table book released to mark Rolls-Royce 110 years. He is also working on social project to revive dying Indian art. His team travels across India in search of master craftsman to provide them employment and to revive art. Many craftsman families used to work for royal family and conferred with national and international awards for their contribution to art and sad part is that they have given up those art due to lack of opportunity. Rahul is well travelled and connected globally. He keeps meeting new global leaders of different industries at various global platforms to discuss, share and exchange ideas. He loves to travel and explore different cultures. When not working, he enjoys playing cricket and leading team to win several cricket tournaments.
